SlyderphloxBlood tests showed I have no progesterone. So doc perscribed me medroxyprogesteron which is Provera right? Anyways doc said to take 10 mg once a day until I start my period. Then later said to take until all bleeding stops. She gave me 30 pills. ALSO My prescription info says to take 5-10 days once a day. So what information is right? All info I am reading says take for only 10 days. I called drs. Office twice and cannot get a direct answer? I have been taking for 7days now. What should I do? Whose instructions should I follow?

Yes, medroxyprogesterone is Provera.
The standard dosage of Provera for treating amenorrhea (absence of menstrual periods) is 5 mg or 10 mg once a day for 5 to 10 days. Bleeding normally occurs three to seven days after the medication is stopped.
I would keep trying your doctor to confirm when you should stop.

The label's instructions just say take one pill a day. I FINALLY got through to my doctor and talked to her not just the nurses and she told me that I can stop after 10 days if I feel more comfortable with that, but to not be surprised if it doesn't work. I started spotting today so I def will only take for three more days. Thanks for your help!
