It is not recommended to cut the extended release tablets into half, crushed, or chewed they are supposed to be swallowed as whole/single tablet. Please do not stop to take the tabs without talking to the doc as he/she is the best person to have prescribed the med. or else seek an second opinion, hope this helps, & your sister gets well.
