Was just prescribed nucynta on top of my percocet for breakthrough pain. I have migranes everyday and am often in the hospital and just had sinus surgery.. I am scared to take this due to all the some of the comments of severe headaches ecspecially since ultram gives me a migrane.

There is really no way to know for sure other than to try it. It is related chemically to Tramadol, but you may or may not have the same effects from the Nucynta. I know some who think Nucynta is a miracle drug and others who didnt do well with it. There is really no way to predict other than trying it. You are used to the migraines so if it does cause one, well it is just another migraine and then you know for sure you cant take it. On the other hand, it may be the miracle drug you are looking for. Try it and see, just be prepared for a migraine just in case. Good Luck to you-I hope it turns out to be the right drug for you!! Nothing is worse than hurting miserably.
