Pre-Diabetes - my glucose levels are high even after fasting, can other meds or insulin cause this?

Yes, other medicines can increase blood glucose levels eg. Diazoxide.
Other causes of high blood glucose levels include infection, illness, stress, injury and drug interactions.
Insulin will lower your blood glucose level.
