Povidone Iodine - What is the doseage used on the stomach for protection from radiation?

Povidone iodine is not used for radiation protection that I have heard of. Potassium iodide is what they have been talking about. It is used to protect the thyroid gland only and it is not being recommended at this time unless you live in Japan or until the public health officials recommend or a doctor has told you to use it.
