The half life of Dihydrocodeine is approx. 4 hours. It would stay in his system for approximately 8 hours. Remember it can differ from person to person but he should be fine. Hope this helps. Good Luck. I would also mention that he took this medication as prescribed by his doctor when he goes to do his UA as that will make a big difference but not effect his his chance of losing his job.
