If you are getting Xanax off the street because you don't have a doctor, where are you going to get phenytoin? How much Xanax are you taking? Why did you start taking Xanax? Did you have seizures before you started taking Xanax?
I do think that you must be taking a sizable amount if not taking it causes seizures. There must be a county funded community health department in your area. I don't know where you live to be able to help with resources. Some Behavioral Centers may be able to refer you to an appropriate agency. Seems you need more help than I can give. There are ways to slowly taper off of Xanax, have you considered that?
Try giving more information so they someone on this site can give you more help. But if all else fails, go to your nearest ER for help.

If you go to the hospital, they might give you phenytoin, but they also can refer you to the appropriate mental health care. I have the feeling if you get the depression treated appropriately you can stay off the xanax, which isn't for depression in the first place.

No I didn't have seizures before I started taking the xanax,and I've gotten very depressed over a divorce and a bestfriend died. So I had a friend that started giving me xanax at 1st it started off one a day then I started taking more and more. Then one day I didn't take one and I felt bad and had a seizure;so then I went to my friend told her about it and she explained that was caused from xanax she gave me phenytoin 100mg. And told me to take them before I stop taking xanax because she's had the same problem,now I'm scared and don't know what to do. I live in a small town there really isn't anywhere to go to for help and according to my friend if I go too the hospital they will just give me phenytoin 100mg.
Well, phenytoin is a med given to people that have seizures for one or another reason. Your best bet, and I live in a small town, would be for you to go to the ER. At least there you can receive instruction on how to taper off the Xanax, if the ER can help, and get instructions on what to do if you have another seizure. But how do you know that you had a seizure? I worked in ICU for 22 years and never saw a seizure. I was taught to turn the person on their side and call for help. If your heart stops, I know exactly what to do. But that doesn't help you.
So my best advice to you is "go to the hospital".

I'm scared I'm not mentally strong enough to tamper myself off the xanx and I know I've had a seizure because of a family member seen it. He said I made a loud grutting sound my head turn to the side and I feel out jurking he turned me to my side and he explained that he was scared to death because my lips turned blue and it looked like I stopped breathing but my heart didn't stop and it lasted about 2 to 3 minutes when I came to I was lost I didn't even know my date of birth and had to think really hard to remember my name I've been taking dilantin and xanx still because I'm scared I can die from the seizures.

I order some GABA online its a herb that I've read up on that will help xanx withdrawls,but I don't know if that is true or not but if it will help that and the dilantin for seizure is it safe for me to try to stop again cold turkey because I don't want to die and I don't want to be a prisoner to a pill either and I'm to a shammed to go to hospital and tell them I'm an addict please if there is anyway to do this on my own please tell me how
