Phenylephrine - my wife accidentally took 2 sudafed tablets, will she be ok?

If it was a once off double dose she should be fine.
If she experiences any of these symptoms then please see a doctor.
Overdose symptoms may include feeling restless or nervous, severe dizziness, sweating, vomiting, hallucinations, fast or uneven heart rate, fainting, seizure (convulsions), and weak or shallow breathing.

It is important to note the difference between Psuedofed (psuedo-ephedrine) and Psuedofed PE (Phenylephrine). 60mg of psuedoephedrine is usually good for up to four hours of decongestant activity. At that dose, every four hours, one may risk getting on a "list" of potential "methamphetamine manufacturers". Phenyephrine at 60mgs may be quite risky for anyone with even minimal blood pressure or stroke risks. Psuedophed (I believe) used to be available (without prescription or signature) much as did phenypropanolamine at 75mg in the "good old days". Exactly when our "governmental experts" lost their heads is unclear to me. Phenylephrine in overdose is MUCH MORE dangerous than a dose per dose equivalent of any other formarly commonly available oral decongestants. With a hydroxy group on the "ring", government experts that I am familiar with would say use it as a topical spray at a concentration of approximately 0.25%, and NEVER swallow the stuff (take it orally)!
I recently used alot of 4way nasal spray with phenylephrine and was hospitalized for abdominal pain due to other complication. BUT while I was there they ran a NON clean catch UA (since I needed so much assistance due to pain and weekness) but I was SHOCKED when they said I tested pos. for METHAMPHETAMINE. I've read several sites that these OTC meds. will do that, especially in excess. The Dr. totally disagreed and booted me out of the hosp. (l live in a small town and due to being a "frequent flyer" for hydration since I have my entire colon and rectum removed and was told I woudl probably be frequenting for that reason. Yet these small town Dr.s have it in for me. My first thought was tampered due to the on-going battle with ER Dr.s that come and go in this town and a specific battle with one of the male nurses. It's a very personal problem between us and with him having access to my urine I assumed that was the answer. BUT...

now I think with all I've read my nose spray must be the answer. I have NEVER taken any street drugs or used prescription meds improperly. Thank goodness GOD knows. But If anyone has advice on this PLEASE HELP, I am living with humiliation even though I should hold my head high because I and HE knows the truth. OH, the other prob. is that I tested NEG. for amphetamines yet I would assume that would be the broader of the two meds/drugs. ANY help is appreciated. GOD BLESS PS. I hope your wife was fine! :)
