Periactin - do they normally prescribe to children under18 who have migranes and absent siezures?

Cyproheptadine is an antihistamine. It is used mainly to treat allergy symptoms and is also useful in treating vascular headache. I have researched the internet and could not find any information about it being used in absent seizures. It can be safely given to children over 2 years old.
