THEWEIRD1,
Unfortunately, most psych issues aren't cut and dry. Sometimes, it takes time to find out what meds work for a particualr person. Unfortunately, these types of meds don't affect everyone the same way. I urge you to continue seeing your therapist and talk openly with your doctor as well about whether or not you think the meds he/she is giving you are working. Maybe the dose needs to be adjust or something new might be needed. Regardless, stick around here and I KNOW you will get lots of positive feedback from others who have had similar experiences. This is a great site and lots of people with different experiences and educations will be more than happy to share their knowledge with you. Good luck and keep us posted on how you are doing. God bless.

Don't give up. I know it is hard. I will give you a few suggestions that helped me. I sat down and thought about the worst thing that could happen but realized I was taking counter measures and that despite how desparate I was feeling, I usually made pretty good decisions. I started walking and it really helps the brain release the feel good chemicals. I am still having some financial issues, but, there really is NO debtors prison and I certainly am not the only one. I try to focus on even the smallest accomplishment and I try to day dream about something really good happening. I buy a rose for myself every once and a while to give me something to admire and smile about and I try to find comedies on tv and youtube.com and make myself laugh. Laughter also releases your own feel good brain chemicals. Find someone to talk to about former good times. You are doing things to help, so give yourself a big pat on the back about that.

Keep the hope I'm in the same boat... But, I find it more relaxing by isolating myself... I don't have to worry about other peoples negative energy rubbing off on me... This way when it all boils down in some form your keeping control over a little part of your mental state...

I am reluctant to do that because that is a breading ground for negative thoughts, so I spend alot of time with my kids the little ones 17months and 5years, they are always positive, and they dont bring guilt to me or drama, everyone does not have that but they love me for me, my greatest gift in life. isolation can cause depression... i have social anxiety and depression but i dont want to isolate my self even though it causes severe distress being with people... also meditate daily, excersise daily, deep breathing, keep seeing a therapist and anything else that can uncover psych reasons for the anxiety and other coping mechanisms
