Penicillin-VK - Is there any better tasting penicillin VK for 4 yrs old?

Sorry - not really! Try giving him something cold before taking the medicine like an iceblock or icecream , this numbs the taste buds a little.
Alternatively mix it in with a little amount of sweet juice, or milk, and try giving it that way.
Bribery may work well too... is there a favorite toy he has been wanting? Maybe that could be given when he has finished his medicine..
If all else fails call your doctor and explain the problems you are having. Your doctor could try another antibiotic... but most of them taste bad!!

Some pharmacies have different flavors they can mix with medicines. Not all meds can be mixed with these flavors though and I'm not sure if this is one of them. You might find out for next time or if it has to be refilled. I know our CVS pharmacy offers different flavors. And as Mary Poppins said-A spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down! :) I used to mix my kids meds with the sugar or let them have a spoon of sugar to get the taste out of their mouths and that would work to get them to take it! Along with a drink of water afterwards. Are you putting in a spoon? Sometimes if you can shoot it in their mouths with a medicine syringe (without a needle of course) it is easier. Most pharmacies carry them if you ask. That worked well when my kids were little too. A spoon is much harder to give when they dont like the taste.
