Pcp False Positives?

- effexor, lamictal, depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety and stress
i just got home from a new dr. and they gave me test to see what kind of drugs was in me and pcp show up ive never took or ever been around pcp the only meds i take is effexor and lamictal and some cold med so can u help me

Dextromethorphan, an ingredient in Nyquil, can also! Happened to me.

YES ! Lamictal can make drug test positive for PCP. Make sure you tell them or whoever you need to about being on Lamictal. Have a lab use a maspectrometer specifically for a PCP scan to officially rule a false positive.I had to do the same thing,tell them before I took the test was prescription drugs I was taking.

It also happened to me! I take effexor and was horrified when the Dr. said I was posative for PCP! I went straight to the ER and got another drug screen that was negative! Im unsure why this happened but its awful when it happens to you!
