my patient is 75 years old, treated for nosocomial infection after surgery. treatment included Ertapenem and Amikacyn.Treatment stopped 10 days ago and she still shows severe pain and muscular paralysis in the legs.
what can i do?how long does it take?any known treatment?

I haven't heard of this type of thing happening before but that does not mean for one minute that it couldn't happen, I wish I knew of some good answer to tell you in order to be of help I am allergic to many medications and they can cause terrible side effects talk with the doctor explain to him what you have told me and see what he has to say also what Chris told you about the bar you should report this and also try and see if anyone else has had this type of problem but please talk with your doctor as quickly as possible I wish you only the very best
