I have sufferd from dark saliva since taking Sinemet CR for Parkinson's. It is SO unsightly as it dries on my teeth. When out of the house I use tissues but they need to be used constantly. Sorry it's a yucky topic but I'm desperate to get it under control.

The only way I have found to reduce the color and density is to increase fluid intake. Drinking fruit juices tend to reduce the saliva density and I sip some if the saliva is excessive especially when I wake during the night. Personally after 6-7 years with PD nothing is embarrassing. People are very understanding or the affliction and the side effects if we let them.
