You Probably need to talk to your Dr. on Monday and let him/her know that you can't afford the Protonix. You can take prilosec OTC even the store brand which is omeprazole. It shuts down most of the acid pumps in your stomach, just like the Protonix, but leaves enough of them on to digest food. Your Dr. may be able to give you some samples for free. Protonix is very high and not alot of insurance companies pay for it.
