My husband has taken Pamelor 25mg for years, recently the doctor increased his dosage to 50mg, when the pharmacy filled the prescription they gave him Pamelor HCL 50mg, he started feeling real sick and zombie like, put him back on the regular Pamelor and feels like normal. What is the HCL and could that be what made him feel that way? He started taking it for IBS, however the neurologist thought that it may help his neuropathy.
