Had an elbow replacement and hydrocodone not working.

hsm2801, Big difference between the two. Meperitab is generic for demerol whereas norco is hydrocodone . Norco has 325 mgs of tylenol-meperitab has none. Meperitab is very short acting, therefore you are apt to take more and more often. It is the stronger of the two, but should be used on a short term basis. Norco on the other hand is better for chronic conditions though it is also highly addictive. It really all depends on what you are using them for. I am not an M.D. just did some research so hope this helps and be careful. Keep us posted and good luck, Julie
