I've had 2 hand surgeries, 2008 last one and this has been a major problem. I cannot get a diagnosis, a Neurologist was last try and she is a loser, but I'm forcing her to follow through with a cervical mri she was supposed to do in October, now will cost me 2500. deductible. 2008 Mri had issues, but could this be cause of ice coldness with purpleish color across knuckes. I' m having a hard time at work, and need to stop typing now. Please anyone ??? I'm in despair and cannot quit crying, I'm hurting so bad, how can i keep working.
Pain in left hand, arm with hand turning ice cold and weak, can anyone help?

I don't know all the parameters of RSD (Reflux Sympathetic Dystrophy) but you might want to google it and check it out. Should it be RSD, a Spinal Cord Stimulator might be a way to manage the pain/symptoms. I'm sorry your doctor is so poor - perhaps it's time for a change? Best wishes to you.

You don't need an MRI yet!! Go see another doctor, any doctor. I can't believe that a neurologist would wouldn't do a simple nerve test on you that takes less than 1/2 hour. In the meantime, get some wrist sprints for your wrists and take B-100 vitamin once a day. My rheumatologist diagnosed carpel tunnel syndrome by just hitting my inside wrist with a reflex hammer and I felt "sparking" up my hand. He told me that was carpel tunnel. Didn't cost a thing. It's been several years now, and NOW I am thinking about surgery. The splints helped so much, and so did the B-100. The test cost me nothing except an office visit for something else. I have told other people the same thing that my doctor told me, and they have had no symptoms, or a great reduction of symptoms. Good luck, but don't waste money on an MRI, unless your doctor has a very good reason.

Buzz - who is this doctor? I am in a smashing mood, and on that basis, I say "off with her head" and you might want to see a different, more open doctor, even if you need to drive a bit. The purple knuckles sound alarming, as does the coldness - suggests a lack of circulation - no good.
I feel like there is so much more to your story, but you have a hard time typing, which is understandable. Like, why did you need the surgeries? If these symptoms are new post-surgery symptoms, maybe the surgeon did something wrong and needs to correct it.
Well, I am just kind of stabbing at the problem.
