Hi, I just came from the doctor's office, had just gotten my 2nd injection. The first year the doc used Synvisc and last year and this year Orthovisc. The doc always tell me it can hurt for a while possible a couple months, put an ice pac on it every 15 min. If you had pain before the injection, you will still have it. It doesn't work the minute it is injected. Everybody is different when it comes to the pain going away. When I got synvisc, pain gone in 3 weeks. Last year the pain lasted 3 months, then I was pain free for 14 months. Right now my knee hurts, who knows when the pain will go away. Goodluck
