Ortho-Cept - I have taken ortho cept for the last 6 days, I had unprotected sex today, am i covered?

Generally, It takes 4 weeks for birth control pills to reach the maximum effectiveness. During the first 4 weeks of starting the medication, a back up method of birth control should be used, i.e condoms or spermicide. Hope this helps you. Manda
