Be Careful with an abscessed tooth~ I started out with one last Sunday and was hospitalized by Tuesday. With that said, I was prescribed Clavamox (generic name IC AmoxTR-K CLV 500-125 mg.) take one tablet 3 times a day Qty 21. It helped, but that was after surgery. Dentist prescribed me Penicillin VK 500mg Tab (take one tab. by mouth every 6 hours) Qty 30. Today, just in case abscess returns. The first one i named is stronger, it is a combination of two antibiotics. Both work well. Good luck, I feel your pain, i was given Morphine in the hospital and it didn't TOUCH the pain. Manda
