Russ, can you hit comment and say how long you have been on subs, what opiate you were taking previously and what mg subs you are on, it will help fill in some info we need to kinda trouble shoot this. I hope you do this pretty fast, as I don't have internet at home and may not be able to get back with you until wed nite, when I have access again. Many pharmacies will let you get a partial refill or two of your suboxone, ask your if they can. Subutex, the sister medication, has a generic that is a fraction of the price of suboxone, you might see if you doctor will write for generic subutex. If you will click on my avatar, and read my profile story, I give the taper schedule I used to get off subs, it worked with almost no discomfort, and no withdrawal. Patti

I have been taking suboxon for almost a year im taking 4 mg now
i was using herion before i started the suboxon
Hey Russ, Try to bring your dose down by 1 mg, you probably won't feel the drop for several days, If you have the 8 mgs tablets, it will be kinda hard to guess exactly 1 mg, but get it as close as you can. You may feel some very slight jerking of the feet of legs, but it will be mild, and should stop after a couple of days. The main reason I need to know what opiate you were on is to determine if it was methadone, methadone is a long acting opiate and it is a bit harder to come down on suboxone if you were previously on methadone. I kinda took over a computer at work, cuz I was wondering if you did comment. Hope you are feeling fine, hang in there, you will get there, Patti
Patti Thank you for all your help. I want to ask did you have any insominia when you stop taking suboxon and if so how long did it last. I have been having sleeping problems and very low energy. Russ
Hey Russ, if you take it too late in the day or take more than you actually need, it can result in insomnia. I am not sure how much you ended up taking, or if you were aware that taking it after 3 or 4 in the afternoon would produce this effect. Hope that helps. Patti
I am sorry, just saw the comment that you are on 4 mgs, make sure you aren't taking it late in the day, you can take it very early in the morning if you want to, it should help with that. If there is any other symptoms, click comment and list them with some any additional info you think might be important, and I will keep trying to trouble shoot this for you.It is a bit difficult to trouble shoot if I don't have much info. Thank You Russ, Patti
Thanks again for your help. Russ
