Is anyone in Florida (Central area) able to obtain Opana ER easily? Any particular pharmacies easier than others? I am supposed to switch next week from MS Contin 60mg 2 times daily to Opana ER. I called the Opana ER hotline a few weeks ago and they could not find ANYWHERE in 30 miles of my area that had it available.

Thanks Deannalacrosse, for that helpful info. I was afraid that the new formulation might be a problem. I would be happy as a clam if I could get my ms contin 60mg increased from 2 to 3 times daily. It even says on the drug ingo sheet to take one every 8 to 12 hours, but so far my doc won't budge. I've been on the same dose of morphine for probably 8 -10 months, and it works a little but not as well as I think an extra 60mg a day would. Plus it is only $10. a month with my insurance, and since like you I have DDD, so far no sugeries, but have a visit scheduled with a neurosurgeon on June 4th. Yikes!! I also have IC, fibro, IBS and osteoporosis. I have never tried Lyrica, but I did take cymbalta successfully for depression and fibro, but ti caused a big weight gain so I had to stop it
Thanks for the advice.

I lived in florida for almost ten years and was prescribed opana er 20 twice a day for neck back and arthritis. I lived in the Tampa area and had no problem getting it through Walgreens up until 6 months ago and they do have mail delivery but Im not sure if you have to go to the pharmacy to get this medication. Good Luck!.
