Prometrium needs to be given for at least 10 days per 28 days to prevent endometrial cancer. You would need to ask your doctor why he / she has suggested you take it for 12 days.
The premarin cream is used twice weekly for urogenital atrophy. The prometrium is used every 3 mos. for 10days to prevent uterine cancer from using the estrogen cream. I still have a uterus. You should not use estrogen alone if you still have a uterus. One doctor prescribed the prometrium for 12 days and a different doctor prescribed for 10 days. Wondering what the difference is.
