Ondansetron is not usually prescribed for this purpose because of cost. If you have some at home check with your doctor before taking it.
Other drugs your doctor could prescribe to help the nausea include promethazine, metoclopramide and haloperidol.

Hi..
1.vitamin B6 (10 to 25 mg orally three or four times per day) improves mild to moderate nausea, but does not significantly reduce vomiting..
2.promethazine (12.5 to 25 mg every four hours orally, intramuscularly, or per rectum) for the initial choice of antiemetic in women who do not respond to pyridoxine
3.metoclopramide (5 to 10 mg every eight hours intravenously or orally), 4.ondansetron (8 mg every 12 hours intramuscularly or orally)
I suggest to consult with your Doc and choose one of these med.
