Nuquin HP cream is a skin bleaching cream that is used to lighten the dark patches of skin (also called hyperpigmentation, melasma, liver spots, age spots, freckles) caused by pregnancy, birth control pills, hormone medicine, or injury to the skin.
One of the active ingredients in Nuquin HP cream is hydroquinone which readily oxidises when exposed to air and turns a brownish colour.
This is normal and the slight discolouration will not affect the potency of Nuquin HP cream.
It is important that you store the cream correctly out of direct sunlight and make sure the lid is closed tightly after each use.
There will be an expiry date on the tube. As long as the cream is "in date" it will not have lost its potency despite the darkening.
