for decades I've been to ER after ER for chronic pain/paralysis/vertigo--free clinics were helpful NOT! with mental health diagnosis and their guesstimations of psych meds--ok fine! so I'll work with what I've got and use the psych diagnosis for SSI since getting a full blown vertigo attact witnessed by the SSI judge deemed me "dramatic" with m delusional reports of being a business major with a 4.0 g.p.a--- now that I have a crazy check with rep payee AND med cov I went to a real doctor and was diagnosed with Muscular dystrophy amd multiple sclerosis--SSI took so long I have trouble walking and most day my hands are useless

I do believe you will have to talk to social security about this. How long has it been since you have worked? They keep changing the rules on some of the things. If you haven't worked for quite a time Your check may not be any different than SSI. I really thinjk you need to make an appointment with SS & take the diagnosis with you & they can advise you whether to start a new claim. You do not list much info as far as age, work periods , how long ago etc... for any of us to really give you a good answer. Good luck to you. Sounds like you would certainly qualify...
