On doxepin &took a drug test&benzos shuld up but I havent took any benzos.what meds culd cause that?

Are you taking any Clozapine or Zanax? I have had an experience in which a narcotic that I was not taking showed up in my urine test. I am on Morphine but another opiate showed up in my urine test. My doctor researched it and he found out that sometimes a chemical reaction to one drug could cause another drug to show up in your test. He also had another patient that experienced the same thing. There should not be any Benzos over the counter, but since my recent situation, it maybe that any drug taken with another drug could cause some strange chemical reaction which may show up when tested. I cannot imagine Doxepin causing a positive for benzo's on a drug test that is done by a professional lab (urine or blood). However, some "sleeping pills" (Ambien, Lunesta for example) have caused false positives for benzo's. This is probably due to their sedative (as opposed to their hypnotic) mechanisms.
