My 10yo daughter taken omniced 300mg 2xdx4d after sick for about 8d w sinus pain/pressure/postnatal drip, upset stomach, mild occasional dizziness. The past 2 days early afternoon becoming very sick w c/o headache (severe, rate at 10), muscle weakness and severe dizziness, could this b the antibiotic or something else unrelated?
Omnicef - can this cause severe headache, muscle weakness and severe dizziness?

It is possible that it is the antibiotic, but I suspect not or she would be having the symptoms throughout the day rather than just early afternoon. It is probably the sinus infection. I would ask the doctor about taking mucinex (guaifenesin) to help alleviate the mucus build up.

I did speak with her this afternoon... finally and there opinion is that it is a virus on top of the bacterial infection compounded by participating in a soccer game Saturday which was cold, then warm... her system just not ready yet and overtaxed it. Thank you for your feedback, I am keeping watch over her daily and reporting to the doctor each day... thank u again :)

Will try the mucinex; now though, as of this morning the symptoms still there. I've got a call into the pediatrician office, I'm really baffled. Dizzy before meds, doc said possibly from sinus congestion, but so much worse now plus the weakness is getting a tad scary for the both of us.
