1964juneb...I have a TERRIBLE problem with excessive worry!!! Please, if anyone knows of a good anti deppressant that helps with this,, PLEEEEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP!!! I take 50 mil. of Paxil,, but it does nt seem to be helping!! Anybody out there have this prob? If so ,, please tell me what u take that helps u!!

Hello 1964junebaby. There's a large variety of drugs to help ocd, as well as anxiety, depression. Well, if you're not happy with the results of paxil, I'd suggest either a combination of zoloft and wellbutrin or prozac and wellbutrin. Hope this helps, and talk to your doctor, your paxilo might need to be adjusted.best to you.

I have a problem with excess worry too but I did not know it can be controlled with medication. As Pledge just said about Welbutrim and Zolif- I take 300 mg of W and 150 of Z. I am still worrying amongst other things and working on letting go of things I have no control over.

june baby pledge gives excellent advise what meds work for one person may not work for another like i read in the other post so talk with your psych im guessing you have one for the paxil they can give advise on some technics on how to help control it slowly and also if you need to change or up your paxil.

I have to totally agree with my friend Pledge & give him 5 thumbs up if I could! Have you ever tried yoga or biofeed back for this problem you have? I really believe it will help you. I have the stress of worry wort too, & when I get too over anxious about things, my husband will tell me , "hey hon, about time for some yogo isn't it"? He kows me like a book he does! It really helps me a lot. There are books & DVD & all kinds of info our there on it. Also Goggle it too. sure there are lots of web sites. I am not against meds, but learning to relax is major help along with the meds... Just my thoughts...
