I do not have a bladder infection but doctor prescribed it for the kidney infection. But the info given with prescription says it should not be used for infections outside of the bladder.

Its for kidney infection too, That is all one system. It means for other infections.
My uncle was on it for 7 yrs. A low dose for urinary tract infection. I do not think it will help kidney infection. I would- get back a hold of your doctor. Hope this info helps.
