Nicotine gum caused me to have mouth blisters... why?

I chewed nicotine gum for 7 days... it left my mouth with large white blisters and burning.. I m 67 years old.. why did the gum do this

This is a serious side effects of the gum. You had a bad reaction. Dont use it anymore. You may need to see your Dr for follow up.
