Hi C this is so far a one of a kind new drug approved by fda not much as far as what they have but as you can see what i copied and pasted says its a one of a kind for very severe depressed people. Brintellix’s antidepressant effect has not been established. It is considered to be the first and only compound with this combination of pharmacodynamic activity. Best to check with the doctor on this one really depends on what they have tried you on already have a good day and happy holiday Chuck1957 retired pharm.technician Cpht oregon... if i hear anything i well keep you up.

Hi, C! Lundbeck/Takeda's Brintellix only received FDA approval on September 30th for Major Depressive Disorder and possibly Generalized Anxiety Disorder. It's an atypical antidepressant which is a serotonin regulator as well as affecting other brain neurotransmitters.
I doubt you'll get too much feedback just yet, at least not as for long-term effects, but it is being touted as a significantly more effective drug for severe MDD and treatment-resistant depression.
Best wishes, WCV
PS ~ If you do take it would you let us know how you do with it? Feedback like that is very helpful for us too!
