Neuropathy?

My Dr added Gabapentin along with the Ultram dose. It has worked well for me but now I am concerned about the Ultram??? Who knows anything about these drugs for sure??? Hope this helps.

I take Neurontin ( Gabapentin ) 2 - 300mg pills before I go to bed for my Neuropathy. It really works for me. The doctors can play with the dosage depending how much you need for pain.. Not everyone can take it. Ask your doctor to see if you can try it. Good luck and let me know what the doctor says.

hi, i have neauropathy also. the burning from my hip to my foot just drives me crazy. now starting in my left leg. and i have lower back,hip and knee pain. from some disk problems sitting on my nerve's. i have never took ultram but i am on fentanyl patch and gabapentin 800 mg at night. i still have problems with pain but there is some relief from the neuropathy and any relief is good. i don''t exspect to be pain free. thank you sharon... p.s. ask the doctor about gabapentin?

Having neuropathy (Shoulder to Toes) for the past ten years, there is no medicine that works for all. At this time, I am taking Lisiopril, Lamictal, Trazodone and Wellbutrin. Some of the side effects you will are ones you have to live with can be bad but do your research on medicine for neuropathic pain. Furthermore, do research on that medicine (for side effects) and ask your doctor of the ones you have selected on your next visit.

Neurontin (Gabapentin) works wonderfully for Neuropathy. I have been on 800mg, every eight hours, for over 10 years. I remember when the FDA cleared the generic form, in the USA, I was so happy. Did you have an EEG??? I remember it hurt when I had it done, but was very helpful to find something. I started taking Neurontin for problems with depression. Than after my car accident, (I was hit walking, in the crosswalk) (about seven years ago) and have been thankful ever since. I wish you lots of luck
