Had Hysto. on Feb. 25, 2011.;have tried mostly bio-identicals, in patch/cream form; avoid orals due to gastro/absorption issues; had been put into chemical menopause prior due to supposed rollercoaster of peri-menopause. Cannot sleep more than few hrs. since hysto.; never had such terrible night sweats; one ovary left. Age 49. Bad experience w/all HRT. Very anxious, depressed, sleep deprived. Feeling COMPLETELY hopeless that I will ever feel normal again; have been hyper sensitve to many meds., etc. for many yrs. Really regret hysto. Please help. Cannot take anti-depressants.

I agree HRTs are risky compared to the benifit... been there. All I can say is that I started using Macafem about 6 weeks ago and the hotflashes are 75% better a lot lighter on the sweating factor..my sleep has improved... I to am sensitive to medicine..so I always use toast and fruit (berries, pears, melons) it seems to help my body absorb the pill. I hope my experiences can help you as you progress through menopause... yes there is light and each year it gets better.
