I was advised to drink loads of water. I'm drinking 4 to 5 liters daily, but it's been 20 days now and my pain is still continuous and I'm not able to do my routine works. Pain killers relieve me only transiently. Please advise me the best medicine. I don't want an operation for such a small stone. Thank you

Did you know that too much water is just as bad as not enough water. Try some Gatorade, that will keep your electrolites in balance.
They do not have to operate any more. They can laser the stones. What it does is break the stones up into smaller stones so they can pass through easily.What sound like small stones to you might not be for your body. They just can not pass in the size and shape they are in. Talk to your doctor about that.

If you have/are getting kidney stones, you really need to look at the foods you eat. Your dr should be advising you on dietery changes, permanently. If not to solve this problem now, but to prevent it happening again in the future. What pain relief have you been prescribed? I'm not an expert! But 20 days, you should have had further treatment by now! Hope your better soon! : )

Thanx but i really need an expert opinion. Being a doctor i know things about it. The only thing i want to know is about this presentation. As i have not yet seen patients presenting with such a continuous pain.

I appriciate ur views but i think i hv clearly said tht i want best medicine. Tht also in current practice. By the way water in this amount is not at all harmful, wht u said as bad as not havng enough water. 7to8liters can easily be taken. Water intoxication is an extreme condition. I knw abt laser but as i clearly said i want the best drug.
One thing i wanted to let u know that laser is a surgical procedure. It has preoperative preparations.. Anesthesia, antibiotics nd it takes abt 1hr. Anyways.. Thanx.
