I have a really bad problem with staying assleep asweel but I as well have problems falling aseep, will Silenor put me to sleep as well as keep me a sleep?

I tried 6mgs of Silenor, still no luck !! I think a hammer might do the trick, LOL !!!

Ht sweetlemon; Sacosam's for what it's worth dept. says try a couple Valarian Root Caps 1/2 hr. before, or with melatonin. It tends to calm you down & melatonin then seems to work better. I do Val. & Mel. 5 nights straight , then back off for 2 nites... works better Sacoman
Hi sacosam, good to see you! I've got Melatonin with Valerian root, Skullcap,Chamomile, Passion Flower, and Inositol... it's all in one capsule. Sent hubby to store for Melatonin, and that is what he brought home.

Hi Sweetlemon; Wow what a combo! That ought to knock over a horse. It's all good for sleep though, especally with inositol. Must be a good Brand as inositol is expensive. What brand? Does it work?
This country lif is beginning to become a serious pain in the BUTT. 7 miles to the nearest "mom& popstore" for bread & milk... nearest Dr. 28 miles... nearest supermarket "Hannifords... 16miles... theater? Hah! I've had enough. I'm saving up my dollars, and if the oportunity presents it'self, I'm going to find a small city , 50 to 100,000. I'm finding out that the people who live here aren't country folks, about half of 'em are wierdo's & freaks from Portland. Oh well, I got my Ladies (16, was 14 female deer but now I got 2 bucks, a 'Button' & a Spike horn to care for and I got a couple big stray Cats I feed but don't touch... So how're you doing. Sacosam
Nate,Sacosam, and Sweetlemon, hi! I can really relate to not being able to sleep! I have been on Ambian,Clonazepam,Amitriptyline and other prescription meds for sleep. Some caused dellusions others caused irritability, feeling out of sorts, and other ugly side effects. Sweetlemon, you are always so helpful. What a special person you are! We are lucky to have you in the group! You are always there when we need you. I also tried Valarian with Melatonin. I had to take 3 each, but it worked. Sweetlemon, what is the name of the med that your husband found?I have not tried Silenor but I will talk to my doctor about it. I worry about taking too much herbal supplements. I hope everyone finds the right medication for them. I appreciate everyones comments! I wish you all the best!

Thanks for the kind words SP. I have Sundown Naturals Super Snooze brand of Melatonin and the other crud. It does work, when I remember to take it. There is a warning about allergies on the bottle, if one is allergic to ragweed or daisies do NOT take it.
sacosam, I live in a town (I don't think it qualifies as a "town") of 800 people!
That is in the wee village, I live out in the country though. And we have a lot of weirdos out here too !!! When we decided to move out to the countryside, me dad told me "Lara, there is a reason people move to the boondocks, they are WEIRD." ha ha, ya, not really laughing anymore! What was I thinking?
