My wife has been on Tarceva for 3 months, and recent CT and PET scans show her condition to be stable. The only side effects she has is a persisent, nagging cough. Her doctors have not been able to prescribe any effective treatment. Can anybody out there please help?

My first concern here is, why is she on this particular medication? Has she been diagnosed with any type of lung cancer. This is a very volital drug and I would need more information in order to help you. Please ask your physician if this is the proper drug to be taken for her current condition. You have not stated what her current heath status is and it would be impossible to advise you without being privy to her test results. These would include a blood work up as well as an MRI of her thoracic region. Good luck to you both.
