My spouse was started on flecainide a mo. ago he now has a constant cough with full sounding gurgle?

Those symptoms aren't known side effects of Flecainide, however it does not mean that it isn't a side effect.
If it doesn't resolve and is persistent please get your husband to see the doctor. Or it may be just a viral cough and may pass.

I am sorry that you have those side effects, but I can totally sympathize with you. I started taking Flecainade and a few days later ended up with major chest congestion requiring an antibiotic. The next week my cardiologist took me off of the medication. He then did a cardioversion that worked for a very short time. He proceeded to put me on another drug, Propafenone HCL and the same symptoms returned. This time I ended up in the ER because I could not breathe. The doctor put me back on Flecainide because the breathing problems should not happen with it. I am now on steroids and oxygen and I can not get anyone to listen to me, that my breathing was not that bad before these medications. I am so upset.
I know how this person feesl, because I have not had any problems with my lungs since I was a child, now with this medication. I have devolped a lot of congestion and cough and no problems until now.
