My son was prescribe with omnicef but instead they sell me duricef. Is it the same?

Yes it is the same medication. I would recommend that when you or your children are prescribed anything that you double and triple check things before you leave the doctor's office and also at the pharmacy. It will save you a lot of unwanted stress and possibly more.
