Our Pediatrian says one treatment every 3/4 hours. Our pulmonoligist/Allergist disagrees saying Xopenex - 2 Puffs/2 Nebulizer treatments every 20 minutes for the 1st hour. Then next treatment every 1-2 hours as needed. We explained this to the Pediatrician and they said that was very dangerous and could promote heart problems. Please advise

I feel that your Peds. physician is a little too heavy handed. As you know too much of asthma medication can kill. There was a female, teen model in Florida a few years ago, died of over dose of asthma medication.
Go with your pulmonoligist decision as they know more about this drug than any other physician. This is his everyday job.
