The half life of this drug is 21 hours so it will be in your system for 2 days (Like Psychmajor mentioned above). As far as the side effects.. They may be permanent.. Only time will tell. If he's still depressed after a month or so I would recommend having him see a Psychiatrist and maybe get on an antidepressant. Hopefully once it's out of his system he'll feel better. Good luck.
