She talked about percentages and my breast cancer having been very early and probably would not come back and arimidex would not lower my percentages that much. She said if I was the type of person who felt I had to do everything possible, It would be ok to take. If I did not like taking a pill everyday, it's ok if I decide not to take it.

Hi Joanne123
I am going to give my PERSONAL OPINION only (not a medical opinion). In reality whether you take any med prescribed by a physician is your decision. The physician can only provide information, so that your decision can be an informed one.
Ultimately the decision is based on several things: your age; your family history for breast (or other) cancer; your healthcare coverage; other diseases and meds being taken; your general health; AND the information provided by the oncologist.
I realize I have not helped you with your decision. Also be aware that Arimidex has some nasty side effects in some people.
