on 50 mg of Trazadone in addition to 72 mg of Concerta and 2 (0.1 mg) of Clonidine. This seems like way too much medicine with his family history (also AHDH). Please advise.

72mg of Concerta is the maximum dose he can take. That's a really high dose for a adolescent to take. I would recommend he be changed to another ADHD medication such as Adderall which in studies is more effective than any other ADHD medication on the market today do to the fact that is has different stimulants, not just one in the pill. The other medications are dosed correctly in my opinion. I hope this helps a little. Good Luck.
