My granddaughter who is 11 has no appetite whatever while on Focalin XR?

MY daughter was on concerta and at 8-11yrs old was only 58-62 lbs so had some more test done test done she was tired and hyper than tired and hyper. Told them to check her thyroid and one doctor said it wasn't that. called the other doctor and had the test done . She had hypo thyroid and that is usually weight gain. But the concerta had kept her weight down below normal. It also made her heart rate go to 150 beat min standing still. That was why she got hyper and than so tired she would sleep every where. We took her off the meds and that summer and fall she gained up to 97 lbs what she should have weighed. Now she has been on Focalin from 12 to 15 and will get another higher dose this next month. But I will not give it to her on weekends or summer unless she needs to focus more (she has ADD not the hyper type) She is now up to 125 lbs and 5'3" tall and is in highschool / My problem is to get her to take it everyday of school or her grades to come down.

She hates school for all the difficult years and can be a A or B grade kid but just puts in enough to get a c-d grades. She still loses weight with focalin and has very poor tastes very picky eatting habit ... No self control either. Good luck
