My friend has taken mifeproston at 5 weeks of pregnancy?

Details:

she took three tablets of mifeprostone together and 2 tablets of misoprostol at day 3.she is now bleeding for 5 days.how long one should expect bleeding in such a case?how one can know that she has fully expelled the feotus?

Hi anupamdeep, According to what I just read on Drugs.com, her bleeding should be slowing down by now. In fact, it said that if you are still having cramps and bleeding 24 hours after taking the misoprostol that you should call your doctor right away or go to the ER. I suggest she go to the ER if she is in any kind of pain and if she is still bleeding as heavy as she was yesterday. The only way to know if she has completely expelled the baby is to have her checked by a doctor, but I can tell you, if she is still bleeding heavy, something is not right... go to the ER. Good Luck

thanks,it was helpful.but if the bleeding is not that heavy.but today she passed a few clots.and not that much bleeding.then what does it signify?
