attachment he said he hadn't been taking any until this past 8-0 months and he has been taking dulcolax and now senokot for at least 3- 4 days a week. He takes a senna at night and then in the morning to get things moving he says he will take a fleets. He is now just last week told he has level 4 cancer of the liver( mastesticised) and has 3 maybe 4 lesions on the liver. Tomorrow we will visit with a surgen to administer a entry point in his chest for chemo thereapy. My question is this ..how can a man that has so abused laxatives, and I know must be nutritionally challenged because of this abuse, possibly survive chemo. I need info and I need it fast to get the care and to make the best decisions for quality og life issues. Thank You

I realize this answer is a bit late but - You have to let his doctor know. You may have to control and hide his laxatives. Sometimes people do have chronic constipation and need laxatives people who abuse it as such are usually slim.
You will need to help him however you can. But please let his doctors know.
