My dr changed my script from vicodin es to vicoprofen 7.5/200?

I think the difference that you see is a lowering of the dose of tylenol (unsure) it comes in various dosage forms and Lortab and Percocet are two others Percocet is somewhat stronger I hope I have been on help

vicoprofen from what I see has Ibuprofen in it and that works on muscle pain the other I mentioned has Tylenol either way due to these toc drugs mixed they have a limite on the amount of tablets you can take per 24/hours as I recall you also have to watch for seizures if you have any questions on the way this affects you Please contact the provider or pharmacist I want you to be safe

Hi narcokidd, Ibuprofen is in a group of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by reducing hormones that cause inflammation and pain in the body. This may not be providing the same pain relief as the Acetaminophen did in the Vicodin. Your system may not be tolerating it very well. I would talk with your doctor about this. Depending on the type of pain, diagnosis, sometimes anti-inflammatories DO reduce swelling that causes pain. Talk with your doc soon.
