... (50mg) at night. I have been taking it at night. Am I better off to skip one day and take it the next morning or to take it in the morning which is about 12 hours after I have taken it at night? I am worried about the effect of the increased Cymbalta for that day when the change occurs. Thanks!
My doctor told me to take Cymbalta in the morning instead of at night because I take nortriptyline?

The best and safest thing to do is check with you Doctor. I always take my Cymbalta in the am, It is a time released pill, so at night it really is not getting a chance to provide what you need. Please check with you Doc or ask his nurse, maybe it will save you a trip to the office. Take care of yourself and be strong.

Thanks so much for your answer! Definitely doing what the doc says only she wasn't sure about the time of day to take it. to separate the time between nortriptline and cymbalta.
Yesterday, I took it at 10AM and was zonked out by 1:30PM. Totally weird. So today I'm going to try 4PM - I've been on it for 5 weeks now and thought I had all the side effects over with but I guess not.
Crazy stuff but it sure has helped with the pain.
Take care. :-)
