Since you took the other. I would try warm prune juice and lemon.

I get constipated once in a while from taking my pain meds. I found out what works for me the best is to go to Walmart and buy the walmart brand of stool softeners. On the morning where I feel constipated I will take 3 of the stool softeners with a large glass of water and in about 15 to 30 minutes I am then ready to go to the bathroom..
Also, I totally agree about the warm Prune Juice also. I just theink the stool softeners are cheeper to buy in the long run..

I am sure that this works for most people. I have not had any luck with it for my son. He drank a full bottle, with no result. Before putting a lot of chemicals into your body I would try as many natural fixes as possible. Prunes, asparagus, peaches, avacados, and apple juice are things that the gastroenterologist has told me to try for my son. I have been told to keep him away from bananas. Be sure to drink lots of water (miralax can cause minimal dehydration) and limit your juice intake (I had a doctor tell me that this can decrease the miralax's ability to work properly). However, before completely giving up on the miralax, I might have a helpful hint: the gastroenterologist that I take my son to says that it is okay to take up to 4 caps of miralax in a day. Actually, my son has done a colon clense (which may help you) of 32 ounces of gatoraide (any flavor) and 7 caps of miralax. I recommend doing this on a day off or when you can be home. I hope this helps you with your situation.
